Sorba Charge
Last updated October 2, 2026
Nothing. Sorba Charge does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data, usage data, device identifier, or analytics event — about you or anyone else. The app has no backend server and makes no network requests at all. There is nothing for us to receive, because nothing is ever sent.
To let you keep your sorba, your riders and your charges between sessions, the app stores the following locally, in a database file inside the app's own sandboxed storage on your device. None of it ever leaves the device:
| Data | Purpose | Leaves the device? |
|---|---|---|
| Your sorba's name, its riders and their slots/practice levels | So your troupe persists between sessions | No |
| Rider portrait photos you choose to add | Shown on a rider's own detail screen | No |
| Your ridden charges and their replay data | So The Tent can show your history and replays | No |
| App settings (sound, music, haptics, appearance, reminder) | So your preferences persist | No |
If you choose to give a rider a portrait, the app can open your camera or photo library — only when you deliberately start that action, and only for that purpose. Any photo you pick or take is stored solely inside the app's own local data on your device. It is never uploaded, copied to any server, or shared with anyone unless you personally choose to use the Share feature described below.
If you turn on the optional "Evening call to the mahrak" reminder in Settings, the app schedules a local notification on your device using Apple's own notification framework. This is requested and shown entirely on-device; no notification content or token is sent to us or to anyone else, because the app has no server to send it to.
The Tent lets you share a replay card for a charge you've ridden using Apple's standard share sheet. That image is generated on your device and only leaves it if you personally choose a destination (Messages, Mail, saving to Photos, and so on) in that system share sheet. We have no visibility into, and receive no copy of, anything you choose to share this way.
Sorba Charge contains no third-party SDKs, no advertising network, and no analytics library of any kind. No data is shared with any third party because none is collected in the first place.
Sorba Charge does not collect personal information from anyone, including children, and is safe for a general audience.
Because everything the app stores lives only inside its own local storage on your device, you are always in full control of it. Deleting the app deletes every rider, charge and setting it ever held — there is no account to close and no server-side record to request the removal of, because none exists. Settings also includes a "Reset progress" option that clears everything without deleting the app.
If this policy ever changes — for instance if a future version of the app adds a feature that uses the network — the change will be reflected on this page before that version ships, and the "last updated" date above will be revised accordingly.
Questions about this policy can be sent through the support page's contact form.
